Norwegian Bliss
A Breakaway Plus ship designed for Alaska: an observation lounge, a two-storey go-kart track, laser tag and venues refreshed in 2025.
About the ship
Norwegian Bliss was built in 2018 with Alaska itineraries in mind; its 180-degree observation lounge was created for watching the glaciers from indoors. 168,028 gross tons, 4,010 guests; the comprehensive 2025 refurbishment refreshed the restaurants and staterooms.
Highlights
- Observation Lounge: glass spanning two decks at the forward end of the ship
- One of the largest go-kart tracks at sea, plus an open-air laser tag arena
- Ocean Loops: a looping water slide that extends beyond the side of the ship
- The Broadway musical 'Six' and Beatles shows at the Cavern Club
- Q Texas Smokehouse, Los Lobos, Food Republic
Staterooms and The Haven
- Inside, oceanview and balcony staterooms; family and connecting stateroom options
- The Haven: a key-card enclave on the ship's upper decks, with a dedicated butler and concierge, its own restaurant, lounge, pool and sun deck
Itineraries
Alaska from Seattle during the summer season; the Mexican Riviera and the Panama Canal from Los Angeles in winter.

Casino on board
Bliss Casino: one of the largest casinos in the Breakaway Plus class; hundreds of slot machines on Deck 7, blackjack, roulette, craps, three-card poker and baccarat tables, a high-limit private area and Casinos at Sea.
The casino is part of Norwegian Cruise Line's Casinos at Sea programme: play earns points, and points set your reward tier from Pearl to Elite and your certificates for future cruises. The floor offers slot machines from 1¢ to $100 a spin, video poker and live-dealer tables; table minimums vary by time of day, with high-limit tables up to $5,000. The casino host looks after slot and blackjack tournaments during the cruise, free-play promotions and table reservations. The casino opens while the ship sails in international waters and is closed in port.
