Gaming at sea: Casinos at Sea
A casino on every ship
Every ship in the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet (with the exception of Pride of America, which sails in Hawaii) features a fully equipped casino. Casinos at Sea is the name of NCL's fleet-wide casino programme: gaming floors, reward tiers, tournaments and the privileges offered by casino hosts all fall under this programme. Casino Player magazine honoured Casinos at Sea with its "Best of Gaming" awards in 2023, 2024 and 2025.

What you will find on the gaming floor

- Over 4,800 slot machines fleet-wide, with wagers ranging from 1 cent to 100 dollars
- Blackjack, roulette, craps, baccarat, Ultimate Texas Hold'em, Three Card Poker, Let It Ride, Pai Gow Poker and Texas Hold'em tables
- Table minimums vary by ship and by time of day; high-limit tables go up to 5,000 dollars
- Video poker and hybrid slot machines
- An ATM inside the casino, plus a casino cage for cash and credit transactions
- Casino credit: from 5,000 dollars, with no application fee
Rewards programme: four tiers
The more you play at Casinos at Sea, the more points you earn; your points determine your tier within the qualifying period.
- Pearl: 4,000 points
- Sapphire: 15,000 points
- Ruby: 35,000 points
- Elite: 100,000 points
As you move up the tiers, free play, onboard spending credit, priority services and certificates for future voyages (CASNext) come into play. The Points to Paradise programme lets you put the points you have accumulated towards future holidays.

When the casino is open
The casino opens once the ship is sailing in international waters; it remains closed in port and within territorial waters. Guests must be of legal gambling age to play.
For club members
NCL Tur Members Club members join our tours as casino players and spend at least 3 hours a day in the ship's casino throughout the tour; the special member rates are based on this commitment. Our tour leader is on hand to introduce you to the casino host and to assist with table preferences and tournament registrations.
Responsible gaming
Norwegian Cruise Line supports responsible gaming. If you would like help with your gaming habits, you may speak with the casino management on board or contact the support lines recommended by NCL.
